Twinspectors is very much a family business being run by David and Sue Donnan. David who is a building inspector often teams up with his son, Nicholas who is a licensed pest controller and termite inspector. He works regularly alongside David doing pest inspections for pre-purchases and pre-sales. Nicholas works in our sister company, Defence Pest Management.

David’s building career began with his apprenticeship with his apprenticeship in 1981 for AV Jennings. After gaining his builder’s registration in 1985 David began his own business building house frames for AV Jennings and building his first home for him and Sue.
Little did Sue know at that time she would be packing and unpacking repeatedly as David built four more family homes for them!
David proudly built many homes for other families throughout his career. Driving through certain suburbs will lead to David pointing out the houses he built!
One career highlight was working on some of the pavilions at Expo 88.
Through former connections from his time at AV Jennings he worked for a new company called Stylemaster and later Fresh Homes. David was noted for doing a job well and expected others to work to the same standard.
Needing to take a step back from the rigours of construction, David turned to becoming a Building Inspector. In 2019 he began work for Twinspectors and he completed his building inspector’s course adding this qualification to his QBCC licence.
In 2021 he became a member of the Master Builders’ Association. Also in 2021 David and Sue took over Twinspectors when the previous owner retired. Since 2004, Twinspectors built a reputation for its thorough building and pest inspections.
This reputation as continued since acquiring Twinspectors as many Google Reviews attest.
Added to the experience of David is the use of hi-tech equipment used during inspections to detect moisture and pests that can be hidden in walls. Due to the expense of the equipment not all inspection companies use this equipment.
It’s the combination of experience, the commitment to doing a job well, efficiency in Admin with Sue and Tristy, having two inspectors on site and hi-tech equipment that set Twinspectors apart.
